New North Press

New North Press is an artisan letterpress studio based in East London with a substantial library of type which is printed on Albion hand-pull presses.

The press is run by Graham Bignell, who founded it in 1986, designer Beatrice Bless and long-term collaborator Richard Ardagh. The team teach workshops, work on commissions and produce their own print editions. In 2010 they also staged 'Reverting to Type', an exhibition of contemporary letterpress, showcasing the work of 20 presses from around the world.
